Created and hosted by Terence Mickey, Memory Motel finds the drama in what we want to remember or forget.
Terence is the Co-Founder of The Listening Booth and creator of Memory Motel, which has been featured in Wired, The Guardian, AV Club, IndieWire, The CBC’s Podcast Playlist, and many other places for must-listen episodes. He has worked in both the Moth’s Corporate and Community Programs, where he taught the art of storytelling to diverse audiences, including curators at the Smithsonian Institute, exonerees from the Innocent Project and executive at Vanguard.
He developed a leadership storytelling program for various international clients, including Marsh and McLennan and Novo Nordisk. He also helped develop MSL Group’s Evoke Conversational Storytelling product, which won the Silver Project Isaac Invention Award in the PR Invention category. He’s performed on the Moth’s Main Stage, has been a key note speaker at Prudential’s Top of the Rock Summit, Marsh’s Global Executive Conference and Discovery’s Creative Speaker’s Series.
He received his MFA from UC Irvine, where he was the recipient of the Dorothy and Donald Strauss Endowed Thesis Fellowship.
